• Brushes

So it is very important to always have at least one brush with you, ideally a couple of them in different sizes and stiffness, to first of all clean the holds before you give it your try and also very important, especially outdoors in nature, ALWAYS brush the holds when done climbing/bouldering to preserve the rock and keep nature clean.

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Tape

Tape is advantageous when you notice that your skin on the tips of your fingers gets super thin, when feeling some kind of discomfort inside the fingers or when trying to jam your hand in a crack. Tape comes in different sizes and colours but is generally all the same, find a brand that you like and stick to it.

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Belay Glasses

Belay glasses are meant to reduce belayer neck pain by reducing the angle at which he/she has to look up to keep an eye on the climber. It is super important to always have an eye on the climber to make sure you know when to feed rope, catch a fall or pull rope in, especially during crux moves in the route.

Without belay glasses, even low-angle climbs can cause neck strain. As routes get steeper, the pain associated with belaying for long periods of time can become acute. Belayer’s neck is a condition where strain on the back and sides of the neck can actually result in injury. Belayer’s neck can be debilitating in extreme cases.

There are several brands on the market all producing good belay glasses, some even have adjustable prisms.

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Gloves

In sports climbing, bouldering, big wall climbing, anywhere you need to feel your grip gloves are not necessary and counterproductive.

Gloves are needed when climbing up and working in the trees for example, gloves are useful when doing a via ferrata.

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Pulleys & Ascenders

Climbing pulleys are usually used for hauling equipment when doing big wall climbing; to protect the leader from being pulled off the wall when a second falls; or when climbing solo and needing a self belay. You can also use them as training assistance, for example if you want to reduce your weight when doing pull ups.

An ascender is a piece of gear used to directly ascend a rope, or for facilitating protection with a fixed rope when climbing on very steep mountain terrain. In routesetting they come in really handy.

 • Skin Care

Climber Skin Care

We are familiar with the concept of training your muscles, heart, lungs, brain and so on but without the strength and health of our biggest organ we wont go far in climbing. The skin is your primary connection to the rock and one of the most important variables when climbing hard. After years of climbing we came to a few conclusions.

Hand hygiene is the first step to functioning skin. Start each climbing session with a thorough hand wash to get that grease and oil of your hands. Do not put down your cheesy sandwich and immediately grab those holds, you will waste a good go and make it harder on yourself and whoever climbs next.

Skin types vary from person to person. Here we will divide them up into 2 categories, the naturally dry & the naturally sweaty fingers/palms. Dry hands should put their focus on moisturizing the skin wen washing hands while the counterpart, oily hands, should focus on removing that oily layer when washing them. Watch out what soap you use since they have different purposes.

Furthermore, the skin will adapt to different types of rock. The longer you climb in the same area the better suited your skin will be for that specific rock type. If you are climbing a lot in Fontainebleau for instance, the soft sandstone requires a soft yet tough skin, which will happen over time. Climbing on sharper rock such as granite, Magic Wood, will require your skin to be much harder and robust. A good way of prepping for this is indoor climbing, since the holds are usually quiet rough on the skin.

Some tools to help take care of the skin are a skinshaper, some hand cream and tape.

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Clip Sticks

In the past few years we see more and more clip sticks being used at the crags but what is it exactly and what is its purpose.

At first I thought using one of these tools is cheating, until I took my first trip to the Frankenjura. A clip stick is a stick you attach a quickdraw to with your rope pre-clipped so that you can safely clip the first bolt should that one be way to high off the ground and a fall would mean a ground fall or a fall onto harsh terrain. In these cases I have learned that a clip stick is not cheating but rather a life saver! You can clip both the rope and quickdraw in or either at a time. This becomes handy on a day at the crag when someone has left draws in for you on a route and you just want to clip the first before climbing.

Furthermore, it is quiet handy when you start climbing harder routes and projecting them. The key to working hard routes is not to try each time from the ground up, you'll lose precious skin and energy you'd actually need to do the crux.

All of the clip sticks featured are basically the same idea. You attach the top carabiner of the quickdraw to the top with the gate held open. The rope clips into the bottom carabiner. Clip the quickdraw to the bolt and pull down.

Our favourite Clip Stick is the Beta Stick Evo which comes in three different sizes:

Compacts to: Extends to reach: Weight:

Ultra Compact 55cm / 1ft 9in 238cm / 7ft 9in 470g / 1lb

Super Standard 74cm / 2ft 5in 374cm / 12ft 3in 635g / 1.4lb

Ultra Long 113cm / 3ft 8in 648cm / 21ft 3in 965g / 2.1lb

The choices are endless and difficult today so contact our Customer Service or send us a mail to help you choose the right product for your needs.

Shop online.........more time to climb.

Casper's Supports Your Summit

 • Anchors & Bolts

In rock climbing, a bolt is a permanent anchor fixed into a hole drilled in the rock as a form of protection. Most bolts are either self-anchoring expansion bolts or fixed in place with liquid resin.
