Why we love it

The Neox is Petzl's answer to the one thing that has always frustrated lead belayers with assisted-braking devices: unwanted locking when paying out slack quickly. An integrated wheel inside the cam lets rope run smoothly and fast to a leader, then when the climber falls or weights the system the wheel stops spinning, the rope tightens, and the cam pivots to pinch and block – so you get quick, natural slack payout without giving up assisted blocking. The ergonomic handle and 3:1 mechanical advantage give comfortable, controlled lowering across the full rope range. All plastic components, including the handle, are made from recycled nylon.
